Today I am happy to announce my latest project:
The Cross Browser Handbook. It's an up-to-date guide featuring all you
need to know about creating modern and compatible websites and web applications. It includes everything covering the basics as
well as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and cross-browser testing solutions.
The book will be a digital only release (
Prefer dead tree books?) including additional resources like a knowledgebase and code templates.
Why this book?
I'm a long time web developer myself and had to find out the hard way that not every browser renders your page the same. After
struggling with this for a while I created the cross-browser testing tool
BrowseEmAll to
help me and others reduce the countless hours spent testing websites in different browsers (no more virtual machines, yea!).
It did not take long for me to notice that many of my customers had a hard time finding a easy to access and up-to-date resource
on how to create cross-browser compatible websites in the first place. Hence I decided to share my experience fighting different
browsers and maybe save some of you a few hours of your valuable time.
